While traveling in Sri Lanka at least one National Park needs to be on your bucket list. As the tear-drop island has some to offer a lot of tourists coming to Sri Lanka are unsure which one to visit. The following blog post will describe some experiences and facts on Yala National Park and Uda Walawe, Yala’s little brother.
First off, both are amazing but not as easy to reach as Kandy, Colombo or Hikkaduwa as no train is going. Sri Lankans know that an increasing number of tourists are coming every year, thus bus connections get better and better. Some busses are crowded, but for an hour or two it’s fairly ok to travel. And hey, you will see at least a couple of elephants, which is a nice treat.
The following article is written by Julians sister Sarah. After a long time waiting to leave to the Azores, she and her husband Chris left towards the paradise for nature-lovers. What they did was hiking, enjoying the fresh fish and crest to breath-taking viewpoints. Here Sarah shares tips on her Azores holidays with you, have fun!

The islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean are really impressive and the more you read or see about the more you want to go to Hawaii.
On our way back home we thought about our experiences and about which of these are part of our Highlights in Sri Lanka. In this blogpost you can find our personal highlights during our backpacking trip in Sri Lanka.
